cabin pressure

you know those stories where you start reading them because the premise sounds interesting, and you get through the first chapter and it’s like “oh, okay, this actually isn’t too badly written, i think i can handle this,” but then you read another chapter or two and it’s more like “well fuck me sideways, this reads like it was written by a ten-year old,” but the premise still sounds interesting and it’s not like unreadable it’s just…bad, so you keep going, but then about halfway through you’re not even really enjoying it so much as struggling to the end because you’d like to see what happens, even when it starts getting a bit cliché?

how to build a heart out of ashes.
